Week 3 ...Drama! + Jillian Harris update

Holy moly I bet the producers are patting themselves on the back for this one. So much drama. Do the bribe people to act like such morons? I wish the show could go back to the way it was before the producers purposely casted people to fulfill certain characters.

Anyway, so Bentley became even more of a jerk, no shocker there. He finally decided it was time to go, but instead of revealing his asshole side to Ashley he kept up with the whole "nice guy" facade the whole time. It must really suck for her to watch this season and see all the crap he says when its just him and the camera. I think once he left Chris Harrison should of filled her in on the fact that he was a jerk all along so she wouldn't still be pining over him and wondering if he was good guy or not.

The mask guy is finally gone. He just seemed straight up awkward even after he took of his mask and Ashley seemed as if she was just trying to be polite with him. I think William has really got to go as well. It was so incredibly clear that he is in this to promote himself and his dream of being a comedian last week. The whole time when he was planning his roast on Ashley he never once mentioned anything about her. I think my first impression of him was right; he's just faking it till he can make it.

As of right now my front runner's are still JP and Ryan. They were kinda the heroes of last week with Ryan cheering Ashley up on the group date when she was down and then JP cheering her up on the one on one right after Bentley had left. It looks like next week we may find out a little bit more about Ryan's character and he may be the one that all the guys dislike...there is always one....

So: this weeks update is on Jillian! She was the bachelorette a few season's back and maybe my favorite bachelorette. She and Ed, the guy she picked broke up a while back but she seems to be doing great. She got a job on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and says that it is her dream job. She seems to be incredibly happy, although, still single other than a couple rumors about dates here and there. Here's an article if you want to read up more.

Bachelorette Episode 1&2 recap plus Brad and Emily update

Even though many of my non-reality t.v. watching friends may judge me for this blog, I don't care! Every winter/spring I dedicate 2 hours of my week to watching this melodramatic, sometimes cheesy, romantic show that is bound to tug at my heart strings a couple of times.

Since I indulge in my guilty pleasure of reading up on the latest gossip of previous couples and I just love to scrutinize and judge current contestants, I thought, hey, why not start a blog? Maybe I will be able to get some followers. I'm thinking each week I will recap the episode and also give an update on a few of the previous contestants latest newsworthy actions.

This season of the bachelorette stars Ashley Hebert, a contestant who was rejected by Brad Womack on the prior season of the bachelor. For those of you who are newbies, the common choice for each new bachelor/bachelorette is the prior season's fan favorite who is rejected.

I rewatched the little mini interviews on some of the contestants as well as their conversations from the first episode. So far, my favorite is Ryan. He is an executive of a solar power company he started in college that now has 600 employees. Whatt?! Impressive? I think so. He is also very handsome and seems really legitimately nice. I know a lot of you haters out there think every single person who goes on the show is there for fame, but I think some of them are there for real, and I think Ryan is one of the real ones. He also won the first impression rose! That's a good sign and a bad sign as usually the front runners don't end up winning, but hey Ali and Brad both kind of picked people who were speculated to win from the beginning, so who knows.

A close runner-up for me is JP. He is a construction consultant or something like that from New York. I just get good vibes from him. He's one of those guys who has eyes that just scream "I am a sweetheart"

Ashley's first date was with William, a cell phone sales guy. I know a lot of people like him but I'm not impressed. He seemed a little fake to me and a little bit staged. People give him credit for going along with the whole planning a fake wedding thing, but really, what else would he have done in the situation if he wanted to stay in the running? I actually wasn't super impressed with Mickey either, which was her second date. He seems really nice but their date almost seemed a little awkward and I felt like their wasn't a ton of chemistry. They both got roses, sooooooo time will tell.

At the cocktail party there is ALWAYS drama when one of the guys who got a rose goes and talks to the bachelorette, and this season didn't fail us. Come on guys, get over it! It is a competition after all, and one rose only keeps you safe for one week. The drama in the bachelorette cracks me up even more than in the bachelor because its sooo not manly.

There has been a lot of talk about the guy who's wearing a mask and Bentley, the token douche bag of this season. I hope both of them go soon. The mask guy, Jeff, seems just a little too intense, he's definitely the awkward one of this season, just like Casey was last season and the weather guy the season before. None of them seem to last so time will tell. It looks like Bentley will be gone next week, thank god the producers aren't making him stick around longer for "extra drama"

So other bachelor news updates: Brad and Emily

As far as I could to tell from my research, as of late May the rumors say they are officially over, and that Emily broke up with him. At the end of March there was a report that she was planning to move down to Austin to be nearer with him, so things must of gone down hill from there. I don't think anyone is super surprised, as they were already have problems by the time after the final rose came on. There is A LOT of talk about Emily being the bachelorette next season as she has gained a lot of popularity and fame from her sweet personality and tear jerker story. What do you guys think? I don't think she is really bachelorette material, she seems to sweet to me, and it seemed to bother her a lot that brad had pursued the relationships with other girls, which is exactly what she would have to do with all the other guys if she was the bachelorette. Hmmmm, time will tell. Rumors, rumors.

All right! Well that's all you get this week, please tune in again next week!
